Ryans Ryde 2009

A great ride out, a well thought out route by the organisers and a HUGE Well done to West Midlands Police who actively supported Ryans Ryde charity motorcycle run, and didn’t use it as a witch hunt for minor offences such as number plates or exhausts, or even running a “stop and search” operation! It’s a pity we don’t have a national force, and national policing policies as far as two wheeled powered transport is concerned, but then again why expect anything different in a Labour Little Britain where postcode politics is bigger than ever.
My sincerest apologies to the “nice” couple in the black Jaguar X type 2.0D that somehow managed to infiltrate the convoy of over 2000? bikes and got a little upset when inevitably a bottleneck caused a snarl up and delay…. some reminders to them:
“it’s an offence to use your mobile whilst driving…..”
“good driving involves showing some courtesy to other road users”
“keep your ******* distance”

RyansRyde Sunday 16th August 2009

Not doing much charity stuff myself but seem to be doing plenty for other peoples. auNTy V is still off the road and the clutch on my Yamaha Diversion 600 went when mixing it with someone on what should have been a much quicker machine (I'm don't consider myself a fast rider plus I was carrying a pillion, wonder IF I dare blame the clutch failure on her kgs tehehe!).

Anyways I will have a bike to go along to this (even if it's a 125!)

Ryans Ryde, fundraiser for a charity which supports teenagers with Cancer.....

The ride out will meet at Hopwood services Junction 2 of the M42 at 11.00 for a prompt departure at 11.30.

January, a slow start to the New Year

No work on auNTy V yet! Mainly because of a knee injury, and cold weather but my workshop now has heating, so next is a clear out and shuffle round of other projects to make room for auNTy V!
